Program Director

Southeastern Regional Education Service Center

SERESC is the preferred partner for New Hampshire’s school systems as they seek to meet the needs of their most challenged learners. It has developed a number of new and innovative approaches to meet the needs of those learners and the staff who work with them. Our staff of nearly 100 professionals assess and help children with complex learning and developmental needs to develop the specific skills they need to thrive in school and in life. We also train educational staff and build their capacity to proactively address new and greater demands among their student populations. SERESC also supports professionals in preschool and afterschool programs

SERESC is seeking a professional with experience in the Special Education / Special Services domain to join our team in the position of Program Director. This newly created position will work closely with the Executive Director and Board of Directors to advance the long-term mission of SERESC. The position has the following responsibilities:

Business Development and Customer Relationship Management

  • SERESC is looking to expand and diversify its base of services across the southern part of the State. The Program Director’s primary responsibility will be to facilitate that expansion and diversification;
  • Recruit employees and contractors as needed to fill unmet needs;
  • Develop long-term relationships with school administrators and market SERESC’s services to School Districts; and
  • Work with Program Managers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction with SERESC’s services.


  • Work with the Executive Director and Program Managers to craft a long-term strategic plan and vision for the future of SERESC that capitalizes on the excellent reputation of specific service lines at SERESC, and harnesses the entrepreneurial spirit that has been a hallmark of the organization;
  • Ensure that SERESC programs align with the strategic plan; and
  • Develop new programs to serve SERESC’s customers and to fill identified gaps in the marketplace.

Organizational Management

  • Work with the Executive Director to form a council of Program Managers and serve as co-chair of the Council;
  • Oversee implementation and compliance with company policies and procedures;
  • Implement human resources policies;
  • Develop and implement a system for evaluating the effectiveness of SERESC’s programs;
  • Oversee the annual evaluation process for consultants and employees;
  • Coordinate services being provided by SERESC’s teachers of the deaf and visually impaired students.
