The Rust Communications Group provides communication and fundraising strategies to institutions and organizations. Services include: Strategic Capacity-Building Planning, Annual Giving Planning and Execution, Development Audits and Assessments, Capital Campaign Feasibility Studies, Campaign Planning and Execution, Board Governance and Development, and Volunteer Management and Engagement.
The strategies we, together with our clients, develop and implement are designed with a single goal in mind -- providing additional resources to our client organizations. Our goal is not only to attain immediate goals, but also to leave the organization stronger as a result of my involvement. Having worked in Maine, New Hampshire, New York and California, The Rust Communications Group is uniquely qualified in that our track record speaks to an ability to succeed in very different institutional environments and in a variety of philanthropic communities. Many of our clients have been launching their first capital campaign and some have even been ‘volunteer only’ driven organizations. Clients have included: healthcare- both home care and major medical centers, human service organizations, community colleges, museums, summer theaters, land trusts, and independent schools. As a result of Ms. Rust’s experiences, we bring an insight into the challenges facing a wide variety of charitable organizations and institutions in today’s economy.
Ms. Rust is active in the Association of Fund-Raising Professionals. She has served as the President of the Board of the Northern New England Chapter, as chair of the Chapter’s conference, as well as a conference presenter, chair of the Conference Tracks Sub-committee, and has twice chaired their National Philanthropy Day celebration. In addition, she has done workshop presentations for AFPNNE, the Maine Association of Non Profits Skill - Builders and at the Maine Coast Heritage Trust Confeference.
Mr. French has referred non-profits looking for development insight and advice to The Rust Communications Group. I have also had the privelege in working with Jamey on multiple development projects including: The Market Square Steeple Fund where he served as the Advisory Committee Chair and an active solicitor and at Berwick Academy where he served as a Trustee and Chair of the Development Committee.
Holly was the Development Committee Chair at Berwick Academy during my involvement there.
