In 2009 I was asked to help these two communities repair a contentious relationship that had existed for over 40 years.  Since then I have met with the group monthly.  We have developed a culture of trust and collaboration where difficult issues can be discussed with disagreement but not acrimony.  The group has become a team, in spite of position turnover, and is quite proud of its accomplishments.
