Ellen Koenig has over three decades of nonprofit sector experience with New Hampshire nonprofits. Her background includes managing high profile statewide projects, designing effective learning approaches for boards and nonprofits, working with grantees and donors and building key relationships. Ellen has a wide variety of experience, including directing a $5 million organization – Granite State Independent Living, supporting grantmaking and philanthropy programs for the state’s largest Foundation – New Hampshire Charitable Foundation, and creating programs for nonprofits and board members to find the resources and tools they need at the NH Center for Nonprofits.

Board service has been a central part of Ms. Koenig’s career, and she has served as Board Chair or in a leadership position for the following boards: Leadership NH, CONFR, NH Women’s Initiative, Concord Trust for the Enhancement of Public Education, the Circle Program and CASA-NH.
Ellen facilitated a planning retreat for the Concord Young Professional Network In addition to leading board discussions ending with a written plan, Ellen created surveys for 3 different key audiences to be used as a key part of the discussion.

Ellen is currently facilitating the Alliance for Health Aging Steering Committee,. She has been working with the Alliance since January 2014, which was formed to help prepare New Hampshire for the shifting demographics of an aging state, and enhance the ability for us all to age well The group is comprised of several hundred community leaders engaged in a Collective Impact approach to improving services and supports for Older Adults in New Hampshire.
