In the early 1980’s Joe Hosmer knocked around Western Africa doing telecom projects and feasibility studies for various African Governments.  Toss in a few excursions to Central America and East Africa and you have what became known today as: MOUNTAIN, LTD.  Listen to Joe as he shares some of the “behind-the-scenes” stories of his worldly adventures in telecom.  Coffee and dessert in the main gallery at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program in the lower meeting room at 7:00.

Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K Road Race

Lamprey Health Care will once again be sponsoring a 5K Road Race during Newmarket's Old Home Days.  This year the race will be held on Saturday, August 10.  Bib pick up and same day registration begins at 7:00 am and the race starts at 8:30 am.  Online registration is currently open.

The Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K has a flat, fast course that’s a favorite among runners. Walkers, strollers and baby joggers are welcome!   The event offers a Kids Fun Run for children under 12, refreshments, a major prize raffle which all runners are automatically entered in, and top runner prizes as well.  The Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K registration fee is $20.00, with day of event registration is $25.00.  All registrants who pre-register will receive a t-shirt shirt.  Same day registrations will receive t-shirts while supplies last. Discounted group fees are offered to high school sports teams who want to use the event as a season warm up – call today for more details.

Proceeds from the Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K will support programs and services dedicated to the healthy development of Lamprey’s pediatric patients, such as Reach Out & Read Early Literacy Program, School-Based Dental Program, and Baby Steps, an Early Childhood Development & Screening Program. Lamprey Health Care is a nonprofit community health care organization whose mission is to provide primary care & preventive health services to individuals of all ages and incomes, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay.  Lamprey Health Care operates three health centers located in Newmarket, Raymond and Nashua, New Hampshire, and serves over 16,500 residents in the Southern & Seacoast Areas of New Hampshire.
