In the early 1980’s Joe Hosmer knocked around Western Africa doing telecom projects and feasibility studies for various African Governments. Toss in a few excursions to Central America and East Africa and you have what became known today as: MOUNTAIN, LTD. Listen to Joe as he shares some of the “behind-the-scenes” stories of his worldly adventures in telecom. Coffee and dessert in the main gallery at 6:30 p.m. followed by the program in the lower meeting room at 7:00.

Lamprey Health Care will once again be sponsoring a 5K Road Race during Newmarket's Old Home Days. This year the race will be held on Saturday, August 10. Bib pick up and same day registration begins at 7:00 am and the race starts at 8:30 am. Online registration is currently open.
The Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K has a flat, fast course that’s a favorite among runners. Walkers, strollers and baby joggers are welcome! The event offers a Kids Fun Run for children under 12, refreshments, a major prize raffle which all runners are automatically entered in, and top runner prizes as well. The Lamprey Health Care Annual 5K registration fee is $20.00, with day of event registration is $25.00. All registrants who pre-register will receive a t-shirt shirt. Same day registrations will receive t-shirts while supplies last.
