Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship and Grant Writing USA will present a two-day grants workshop in Keene, December 2-3, 2019.  This training is applicable to grant seekers across all disciplines.  Attend this class and you'll learn how to find grants and write winning grant proposals.

Beginning and experienced grant writers from city, county and state agencies as well as nonprofits, K-12, colleges and universities are encouraged to attend.

Building Better Book Covers, with Alex Camlin

Learn to Make Your Book Cover Be Noticed

Presented by: NH Writers Project

With more books being published than at any point in the past, and with instant access to an overwhelming selection of choices for any one reader, effective book covers—clever, iconic, current, culturally-aware, sophisticated and memorable—are more important than ever, signaling the subject, tone, and intended audience to a potential reader, all in a few seconds or less.

Attendees are encouraged to bring a favorite book cover for a short group discussion and critique.

Alex Camlin is the principal of AC/D, a design studio based in greater Boston. With 20 years of experience as an art director in publishing, his recently founded practice is limited almost exclusively to books and their covers.

CHaD Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship

Presented by: Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock

CHaD Hockey is moving to Friday night! On Friday, March 13, police officers and firefighters from across the region will face off in the annual CHaD Battle of the Badges Hockey Championship, presented by AutoFair.  

This rivalry pits community heroes against each other in a fun, highly-competitive affair to raise money for the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD). 

Tickets are just $10, and kids 5 and under get in free on game day.  Fans can purchase tickets, sponsor a player in their community, or make a donation to the game by visiting www.CHaDHockey.org.
