SFA Classic Golf Tournament

Presented by: Tri-County Community Action Program

The format is a Modified Scramble, with a team of four players. The Modified Scramble means that you all hit a drive and like a regular scramble you pick the best drive for the second shot; from the spot of the second shot you each play your own ball into the cup. Using one ball for the best net score and a different ball for the gross score, those two totals will be added together to determine 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners.

The cost for entry into the SFA Classic is $200 per team or $50.00 per person, and includes cart, lunch and prizes. A portion of the fee will help us to raise funds for RSVP that have been cut at the state level.

The tournament will benefit the Coös County RSVP Program sponsored by Tri-County CAP, Inc. The Coös County RSVP program recruits, trains and places individuals age 55 and older at local non-profit and public agencies throughout the county. At these agencies volunteers do a variety of tasks that assist the non-profit in meeting the needs of people in their community.
Some of the places that volunteers provided over 50,000 hours of service last year are: schools, senior centers, hospitals and nursing homes, museums, chambers of commerce, outdoor activity clubs, blood drives and so many more.

Dodging Homelessness High School Tournament ’13

Presented by: NH Coalition to End Homelessness

The NH Coalition to End Homelessness is hosting a competition that brings New Hampshire students together for a friendly game of dodgeball. The statewide tournament will help raise funds to support the Coalition. Each school’s team champion is then invited to participate in the statewide tournament. Participation not only helps provide educational opportunities for less fortunate students, it also fosters broader awareness and understanding of homelessness in New Hampshire, reinforces a sense of community responsibility, and, most importantly, is a fun and engaging event for students, parents, faculty, and staff!

Competing for this year’s tournament is Bishop Brady High School, Hopkinton High School, Manchester West High School, Merrimack High School, Timberlane Regional High School, and Trinity High School.

Date: Saturday, June 1, 2013 - 4:00pm to 7:00pm

3K Walk for Sight

Presented by: Future In Sight

The 2013 Walk will represent the Association's 10th annual walk. Hundreds of people from across the state participate each year, helping to raise much needed funds for the Association's vision rehabilitation program and services. Starting out as a 'friendraiser' to spread awareness of the issues of blindness and vision loss back in 2003, this event has grown to become a successful 'fundraiser', grossing more than $400,000 over the years. Help us expand and enhance the Association's services by participating in this year's walk. It's a fun day and you'll be helping those who are blind and visually impaired throughout the state of New Hampshire. Your donations truly make a difference!
