Building a Diverse and Inclusive Culture

Within your organization, each person’s experiences and perceptions of diversity, equity, and inclusion contribute to shaping the nonprofit’s ability to advance its mission. Incorporating equitable and inclusive practices into your long-term strategy also lead to heightened levels of organizational innovation, orientation towards service, employee engagement and retention.

This introductory training will establish a shared meaning and focus on foundational concepts and strategies to foster a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture. In this interactive session, participants will explore:

  • diversity, equity, and inclusion awareness,
  • the “Why” of DE&I,
  • DEI strategies that help foster a more diverse and inclusive environment,
  • actionable strategies to help foster a more diverse and inclusive organization.
We plan to hold this workshop in-person adhering to current guidelines and protocols set forth by the venue. Per updated CDC guidelines, we require all partcipants to wear a face-covering (regardless of vaccination status) and will create room for social distancing whenever possible. Please do not attend if you experiencing a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or other symptoms of COVID-19. Please note that protocols may change at the time of the event. Jermaine Moore 

Jermaine Moore has over 20 years’ experience developing leaders and building highly engaged, high-performing teams. With a focus on building leadership and organizational competencies and skills, Jermaine introduces and reinforces behaviors that drive business results. Jermaine’s areas of expertise include Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), Leadership Development, Executive Coaching, Team Development, Culture Assessment and Development, Communication Training, Change Management, and Workforce Planning. He has worked with clients across many industries including medical technology, academia, manufacturing, retail, state government, and IT services. Corporate clients range from fast- growing start-ups to complex, global organizations.

Jermaine is an active instructor for the University of New Hampshire’s Professional Development and Training Program, leading courses in Diversity and Inclusion, Leadership, Strategic Workforce Planning, Employee Retention and Engagement, and Negotiation. He serves as the Diversity Director for SHRM’s NH State Council and is an active board member for the Diversity Workforce Coalition (DWC) whose mission is to promote diversity in the workplace through education, training, and enhanced networking opportunities.

Jermaine has also partnered with organizations in the development of their DEI strategic plans and provided foundational support for their newly established DEI committees.
