Measuring and Celebrating Volunteer Impact

In partnership with Volunteer NH, we are pleased to welcome back Beth Steinhorn of VQ Volunteer Strategies for a 5-part virtual series "Leveraging the Power of Volunteers". This is Session 4 in the series. Registration includes all 5 sessions (and recordings) of the series: May 20, 27, June 10, 17, and 24, 10-11:30am.

The volunteer sector has evolved over generations to leverage the changing landscape of volunteerism, but this past year has certainly delivered more change than ever before. Not only do social, economic, and generational trends affect how individuals volunteer, but the pandemic transformed how organizations attract, engage, and retain qualified volunteers.

What lessons can we learn from the challenges imposed by the pandemic and what role will you, as a leader of volunteers, play in harnessing volunteer power in the months ahead? Join Presenter Beth Steinhorn for an interactive series exploring how volunteer engagement can be core to reopening (not just a side note!) and a vital resource for returning to more normalized operations.

Session 4: Measuring and Celebrating Impact

With engagement practices having changed over the past year, many of our traditional methods of tracking volunteer impact and recognizing volunteer contributions have required at least a rethinking, if not a complete reinvention. How can we track and measure volunteer impact even when volunteers are serving remotely? What does research tell us about how volunteers seek to be recognized and how have others in the field leveraged these preferences creatively and safely? Join this session to explore these and related questions so you can not only develop a meaningful recognition plan but have the data to help advocate to sustain your engagement efforts in the future. This session will include case studies from others who have developed new ways to track and recognize impact and provide strategies and tools for developing a meaningful volunteer recognition plan.

Other Sessions in the Series

Zoom link to access the sessions will be sent to all registrants a day or two in advance.

Session recordings will be sent to all registrants.
