The volunteer sector has evolved over generations to leverage the changing landscape of volunteerism, but this past year has certainly delivered more change than ever before. Not only do social, economic, and generational trends affect how individuals volunteer, but the pandemic transformed how organizations attract, engage, and retain qualified volunteers.
What lessons can we learn from the challenges imposed by the pandemic and what role will you, as a leader of volunteers, play in harnessing volunteer power in the months ahead? Join Presenter Beth Steinhorn for an interactive series exploring how volunteer engagement can be core to reopening (not just a side note!) and a vital resource for returning to more normalized operations.
More and more organizations have begun to rely on a blended workforce – with staff and volunteers working on-site and on-line. However, due to the Coronavirus pandemic, engaging volunteers virtually is now the only way for many organizations to sustain current volunteers and engage others in their mission. Join us in this session to learn about tools and tips to adapt best practices in engagement to the virtual arena and expand virtual training opportunities. Participants will receive tools to assess virtual volunteer roles, support accountability, and develop effective virtual training plans.
Zoom link to access the sessions will be sent to all registrants a day or two in advance.
