This workshop is offered at a low cost thanks to a partnership with Pear Associates and is the second of a two-part grant writing series. The Fundamentals of Grant Writing will be held on Wednesday, October 14. Participants may register for one or both sessions.

About the Presenter

Alison Glastein Gray has more than 25 years of demonstrated experience planning, implementing, and expanding evidence-based public health and education programs, holding leadership roles within the nonprofit sector. Ms. Gray began her professional career, assuming Executive Director positions for two start-up nonprofits. As the first-ever Executive Director for Deana's Educational Theatre, formerly Deana's Fund, Ms. Gray developed and expanded a newly formed national organization, more than doubling the organizational budget and expanding the organization's footprint through community outreach and revenue generation. As Healthy Malden's second-ever Executive Director, Ms. Gray increased the budget by 300% by acquiring state and federal grant contracts and through private fundraising.

Later in her career, Ms. Gray joined Freedman HealthCare (FHC) in 2009, a healthcare consulting firm focused on performance measurement and improvement to lead business development efforts. Ms. Gray went on to serve as VP for Business Development and Community Engagement at Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts until 2018. During that time, she oversaw statewide community outreach programs designed to involve and inform stakeholders, including clients and strategic partners. While at Planned Parenthood, Ms. Gray and a Board member co-chaired the Strategic Planning Committee and oversaw a six- month planning process to identify areas of organizational growth.

Based on demand for her consulting services, Ms. Gray relaunched Pear Associates in April 2018 as her full-time enterprise. Since relaunching, Ms. Gray has quickly built a robust client base and has overseen organizational assessment, business strategy, and strategic planning initiatives.
