Planning When the Future is Uncertain

For months, nonprofits have pivoted programs and operations in reaction to the cascading effects of the pandemic, continuing to meet their mission and increased need. While many of us hoped by now for more certainty to inform our plans, it has become clear that this crisis is not a short-term challenge. We also know that, in order to be successful and sustainable, we have to move beyond short-term tactical responses to longer-term strategy and planning. But how do we plan when the future is so uncertain?

In this webinar, Steve Zimmerman of Spectrum Nonprofit Services and Mary Ellen Jackson of Mary Ellen Jackson Consulting will discuss a framework for understanding your current position and engaging your entire organization—board, staff and other stakeholders—in imagining multiple possible futures and how you'll continue to deliver impact in those scenarios, with your core mission and sustainability in mind. This interactive conversation will also includes examples of how other nonprofits have responded and will prepare you to have the tough discussions and make the bold decisions needed to face the uncertain future.

A recording of the session will be sent to registrants following the event.
