The Human Side of Recruitment

Another March 18 Opportunity

Presenter Beth Steinhorn will also be presenting a workshop Nurturing a Culture of Engagement from 10:00-1:30 pm on the same day, at the same venue. You can read that event description here and register for both programs at once, if you choose.

Recruitment is more than simply online ads and speaker’s bureau presentations. Ultimately, successful recruitment comes down to conversations. What does research tell us about what to “do” and how to “be” during these interactions to effectively inspire others to engage with our organizations?
Through fun and purposeful activities, this session will introduce a framework and skills to enhance your volunteer recruitment efforts. From tuning into your prospect’s interests to designing compelling pitches about your organization, participants will leave with new perspectives on recruitment and useful tools to apply immediately – including draft pitches about volunteering with your organization.
*While the session will focus on recruitment through the lens of attracting volunteers, the principles discussed can be applied to any type of recruitment or sales.
