Future In Sight, established as the New Hampshire Association for the Blind in 1912, is the only statewide nonprofit that provides specialized services and support that meet the range of needs that individuals of all ages and stages of vision loss experience at home, at school, and in the community – including via online learning and telehealth channels.

At Future In Sight, we envision an inclusive world where every person who is blind and visually impaired lives with confidence and dignity.

We seek an experienced Program Director to supervise a wide range of programs designed to serve clients who are blind and visually impaired. 

As part of the management team, the Director is engaged in organizational leadership, managing diverse teams and supporting the training and services provided to youth, adults and seniors.  The Director will initiate goals based on the strategic objectives of the organization, allocating resources, and providing direction towards meeting these objectives.

A successful Program Director must have a broad knowledge of program management principles and have experience managing diverse teams. 

Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree, Masters preferred with 7+ years’ experience growing, innovating, and delivering direct services to adults and senior clients within the disability field.  Experience in vision loss a plus, but not required. 

Experience managing diverse teams and developing, evaluating, and operationalizing programs which result in measurable success and program growth.

Responsibilities:

Under direction of the CFOO, the Director of Program Services will --

  • Initiate and set programming goals based on the strategic objectives of the organization.
  • Develop and be accountable to programming budgets.
  • Research, plan, organize and direct new programming creating processes, deadlines, milestones, and key metrics for success.
  • Devise evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvement
  • Provide oversight of all providers, programs, and project managers, soliciting feedback and resolving complex problems
  • Cultivate relationships with partners and vendors with the goal of ensuring space and resources to deliver services statewide.
  • Develop and implement strategies that will maximize synergies among program areas.
  • Discover ways to enhance efficiency and productivity of procedures and providers
  • Establish performance measurements that are responsive to organizational and client’s needs
  • Instill a sense of accountability among team members by modeling oversight of individual and organizational performance standards.
  • Engage in improvement efforts that help innovate and expand program and services that serve individuals with vision loss and a range of disabilities that reflect those client’s needs.
  • Provides thought leadership, guides research, and leads the growth of adult and youth services across NH and beyond.
  • Partners with State Agencies, Eye Doctors, School Districts and a range of stakeholders to deliver a holistic model of care to clients in their homes and other locations.
  • Recruits and leads a staff of rehabilitation and training professionals to deliver direct services
  • Actively manages staff case load with team leads and translates client referrals into needs assessment and individual service plans. 
  • Contributes to marketing, business development, and grant proposal efforts.

SCHEDULE:

Regular office hours are 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary due to activities, events, and the general nature of the work. Additional hours, including evenings and weekends, are required periodically. Some travel within New Hampshire is required with mileage reimbursement. Future In Sight is located at 25 Walker Street, Concord, NH.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Future In Sight offers a generous benefits package including four weeks of vacation plus additional personal and sick days, comprehensive health benefits with 90% of the medical premium covered by Future In Sight, and a 503(b) program with 5% company match.
