NH-based nonprofits are encouraged to learn more about NH Gives, an initiative coordinated by the NH Center for Nonprofits to raise as much money and awareness as possible for New Hampshire’s nonprofits.
“NH Gives takes on new meaning this year as nonprofits face the impact of the global pandemic,” said Kathleen Reardon, CEO of the NH Center for Nonprofits. “Organizations are rising to the needs of their communities, even while they’ve lost revenue from cancelled fundraising events and programs. We hope that NH Gives – which is all online – can provide them a much-needed boost.”
NH Gives provides nonprofits from every corner of New Hampshire with a platform to draw attention to their missions and let potential donors know how they can help in their own communities. Any 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit serving New Hampshire communities can participate in the day. Eligible organizations must register on www.NHGives.org prior to June 1st. Participating nonprofits receive training and marketing support.
Now in its fifth year, NH Gives has raised more than $1.4 million since it started, connecting thousands of donors with hundreds of nonprofits.
The NH Center for Nonprofits is leading efforts behind NH Gives with support from lead sponsor the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation. Additional sponsors include C&S Wholesale Grocers, Comcast NBC Universal, Merrimack County Savings Bank, Meredith Village Savings Bank as well as media sponsors WMUR, and the Union Leader.
Donors will be encouraged to visit www.NHGives.org for 24 hours starting at 6 p.m. on June 9, to donate to their favorite nonprofit organization, to discover other organizations doing good work, and to show their support through social media. More than 150 nonprofits have already created profiles on the site. You can view a list at https://www.nhgives.org/organizations?show_all=true
