NH Center for Nonprofits Announces New Board Members

The NH Center for Nonprofits (the Center) is pleased to announce the addition of three new members who were recently elected to its Board of Directors. Joining the Board are Kathy Beebe, Russ Grazier Jr. and Claudia Shilo.

Kathy Beebe has been a leader in the field of sexual and domestic violence for the past 29 years. She served as the Executive Director at Sexual Assault Support Services (SASS) for 13 years and also became Executive Director of A Safe Place as the two agencies entered into a merger process. In 2015, SASS and A Safe Place merged into HAVEN, the largest domestic and sexual violence prevention and support agency in NH, where Kathy currently serves as Executive Director.

Russ Grazier Jr is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Portsmouth Music and Arts Center (PMAC), a nonprofit community music and visual arts school. Russ is a composer and saxophonist and is a native of Portsmouth. He has taught saxophone, composition, and music theory for over 30 years. In 2016, Russ was named Arts Advocate of the Year by NH Citizens for the Arts (now Arts4NH). He currently serves on the boards of the New Horizons International Music Association, the Chamber Collaborative of Greater Portsmouth, and the Seacoast Jazz Society.

Claudia Shilo is a Partner, Senior Client Advisor, and Chief Financial Officer at Ballentine Partners, LLC.  In addition to leading a number of family office engagements, she is responsible for the management and oversight of the company’s financial affairs. Claudia is a Hoffman-Haas Fellow and serves on the boards of Financial Planning Association – Northern New England and Great Waters Music Festival.

“We are pleased to add these talented people to the Center’s Board of Directors,” said Kathleen Reardon, Chief Executive Officer of the NH Center for Nonprofits. “They each bring a deep knowledge and commitment to the nonprofit community, as well an understanding of the issues facing our state. Their leadership will be an asset to the organization as we continue our work to elevate the visibility and capacity of the state’s nonprofit sector.”

The NH Center for Nonprofits is a statewide nonprofit association dedicated to advancing the impact and visibility of the nonprofit sector and supporting the growth of nonprofits to reach their mission. Its services included leadership development programs, organizational consultation and assessment, online resource sharing and advocacy.
