Monadnock United Way hires Shirley English as Administrative Assistant

Shirley English recently joined Monadnock United Way as the Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining the staff, Shirley was a longtime volunteer for MUW. 
 
English previously worked as the Alumni Relations Manager at New England College in Henniker and has more than10 years of experience in volunteer management, fundraising and relationship building. She has an MBA in Leadership from Franklin Pierce University in Rindge. 
 
"We are so happy to have Shirley on our MUW team," said President Liz LaRose. "Her knowledge of our organization through her time volunteering with us is a huge benefit. And her background in relationship management and fundraising makes her a perfect fit!" 
 
“I am so excited about my role at Monadnock United Way,” English said. “My time volunteering for MUW allowed me to see how vital the work of the organization is. This role allows me the opportunity to give back to my community in a meaningful way.”   
 
Shirley has four grown children and two granddaughters. She lives in Keene with her three cats, one dog and husband, Whit.
