Event to Honor Jackson and the Nonprofit Sector

Manchester, NH—Outgoing CEO, Mary Ellen Jackson, who is recognized for leading a movement to unite and elevate the status of the nonprofit sector in New Hampshire for the past ten years, will be among the honorees at the annual Nonprofit Impact Night on May 18th to be held at the Executive Court Banquet Facility.

Hosted by the NH Center for Nonprofits, this event celebrates the extraordinary results being achieved by nonprofits across NH and awards three recipients the coveted Nonprofit Impact Awards.

“This year’s event is extra special because we will not only be recognizing three outstanding leaders, the sector as whole will be recognizing and thanking Mary Ellen Jackson for her inspiring leadership and multiple contributions. We will also be celebrating the organization’s 10th anniversary since its revitalization in 2005,” states John Gilbert, Board President of the Center.”

Ruth Cambridge, President and Editor in Chief of the Nonprofit Quarterly will provide the keynote address, providing a close look at the trends which are picking up momentum in the sector and shedding light on her view of the leadership need to mount the challenges of the next decade.

Awards will be presented to the nonprofit executive, board leader and organization demonstrating extraordinary results and impact of their mission and within their community. Last year’s recipients include John Tobin, Kirk Leoni of Nathan Wechsler and the Penacook Community Resource Center.

Nonprofit Impact Night has been generously sponsored by Eastern Bank, E&S Insurance Services, Southwest Airlines and Jeanine & Company.
