The James W. Foley Legacy Foundation announces the addition of two members to its Board of Directors: Lt. Col. John Foley, brother of slain conflict journalist James Foley, and Peter Bergen, a journalist, author and vice president for global fellows and studies at New America.

City Year New Hampshire Welcomes New Board Members

City Year New Hampshire, an education-focused organization that helps add capacity to high-need Manchester schools, welcomes six new members to its board of directors. Joining the board are Barry Brensinger, Mil Duncan, Lew Feldstein, Mary Heath, Lesa Scott, and Valerie Sununu.

Community Caregivers Inducts Six New Board Members

Community Caregivers welcomed six new members to their Board of Directors in May, and two current Board members retired. Van Laventure of Chester is Managing Partner of Staff Hunters – Bedford, A Raven Ridge Company. He is a long-time volunteer for Community Caregivers and also serves as Treasurer for the IMA, NH Chapter.  He has also been elected for his first term as Caregivers treasurer.

Don St. Germain Named Chairman of Board of Directors for Manchester Development Corporation

At its annual meeting on March 9, Manchester Development Corporation (MDC) named Don St. Germain Chairman of the Board of Directors. St. Germain, Executive Vice President and Chief Lending Officer at St. Mary’s Bank, joined the MDC Board in 2015.

The Friends Program is pleased to announce that Kimberly Yarlott has rejoined the Board of Trustees and Susan Smith has been hired as the Director of Senior Programs

Kim is the Principal of Reeds Ferry Elementary School, Merrimack, NH and began her teaching career in Concord, NH.  She was named the 2017 NH Principal of the Year and is recognized as a National Distinguished Principal. Susan is the former Executive Director of NH Voices for Health. She worked with seniors at the Taylor Community as the Administrator and COO.

CVTC Announces 2018 Board of Directors

At the November Board Meeting for the Community Volunteer Transportation Company, the following were elected as officers: Eileen Fernandes of Keene as Chair; Kathryn Miner of Harrisville as Vice Chair; Jordan Volikas of Keene as Treasurer; and Matt Waitkins of Peterborough as Secretary. Kate Cote has joined Monadnock United Way (MUW) as administrative assistant. She has lived and worked in the Monadnock Region since 2005. Since graduating from Keene State College in 2007, Kate has held positions in customer service at People’s United Bank and NBT Bank, and most recently as a customer care account specialist at United Natural Foods.
