DCYF Community Response Survey

Have you ever worried about a child’s health, welfare, or safety and wondered how you could help? Did you wonder if you should make a report to the New Hampshire Division for Children, Youth and Families (DCYF)?

Has DCYF ever talked to you because someone made a report about your family? Did things get better for your family because DCYF got involved?

Have you ever wondered how DCYF makes decisions to support the safety and well-being of children and families in your community?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, we need your help!

Evident Change, DCYF, community partners, advocates, parents, and Casey Family Programs are conducting a survey to gather information to inform the development of a community response guide.

What Is a Community Response Guide?

The community response guide will be a web-based tool that can be used by individuals who are worried about a child or a family. The tool will guide users on how to respond to the concern, such as making a report to DCYF or connecting the family to community supports.

How Can I Help?

Please take our survey to help ensure that all voices of the community are heard in creating the guide.

When? Monday, February 8, 2021, to Sunday, February 28, 2021

How? Complete the survey here: https://survey.alchemer.com/s3/6157487/New-Hampshire-Response-Guide-Community-Survey

How long? About 10 to 15 minutes

How Will the Information Be Used?

Your input is extremely valuable and critical. We will use the information collected from the survey to inform our process of creating the community response guide and strengthening the resources available in New Hampshire.

We hope the survey will help us:

  • Learn more about reporting decisions and community members’ experiences in making reports to DCYF;
  • Understand the community’s ideas about child safety;
  • Unpack what might be leading to different reporting rates for specific populations and the impact of those differences; and
  • Discover what resources the community finds helpful and identify service gaps.

Important Information

Your participation in this survey is voluntary. You will be asked to sign a consent form to participate.

All survey responses will go directly to Evident Change for analysis. Only group trends and results will be shared with DCYF, community partners, advocates, parents, and Casey Family Programs.

Your responses will remain confidential. They will not be linked to your identity and will only be reported and used in group form.

Thank you in advance for your participation! We look forward to hearing from you. To learn more about Evident Change, visit EvidentChange.org or email Info@EvidentChange.org
