Catholic Charities New Hampshire is looking for a Paralegal to join our Immigration Legal Services team.  This position is located in our Nashua District Office.  In this role, you will assist our Immigration Attorneys and accredited reps with the intake process as well as with the preparation of immigration benefit applications.

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years prior experience working as a paralegal or in a law practice
  • Knowledge of/ability to grasp basic concepts of immigration law and willingness to expand knowledge in this area.
  • Successful work experience in highly diverse work environment.

Job/Skill Requirements:

  • Fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading and writing)
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to function independently and work in an organized manner
  • Must be a fast learner and be open to constructive feedback on work assignments
  • Ability to work within established deadlines
  • Flexibility and ability to work with overall Immigration Legal Services Team
  • Intermediate Experience with Microsoft Office Products required as well as the ability to learn and effectively use the LawLogix case management system and other database products
  • Support the work of the lead attorney(s) or DOJ Accredited Representative on cases
  • General referral and advocacy support for individuals and families
  • Preparation of individual client’s case materials
  • In person and phone intake interviews
  • Information gathering and research
  • Translation of case documents
  • Occasional night and weekend work may be required
