Program Director

GALA (Global Awareness Local Action)

GALA, or Global Awareness Local Action, is a 501(3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to strengthen community by supporting people to discover their unique gifts and cultivate skills that enrich rural lives and foster rewarding livelihoods. GALA has been serving greater Carroll County for more than ten years with diverse projects and services: organizing a farmers’ market, building community gardens, teaching homesteading classes, launching renewable energy initiatives, and leading community events such as Town Cleanup Day, Bike & Walk to Work/School Day, monthly Contra Dances, film screenings, and study circles.

Going forward, GALA is developing a Community Makerspace & Incubator at 23 Bay Street in Wolfeboro, NH that will strengthen community and support economic development for Greater Carroll County.
