SNAP Outreach Coordinator

The New Hampshire Food Bank is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as the SNAP Outreach Coordinator. You will be responsible for assisting potential program applicants with the online NHEASY application, as well as providing technical assistance, program support and database management to the SNAP Team.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven work experience required
  • A college degree preferred
  • Experience working with low income audiences preferred
  • Possess the ability to allow for compassion and dignity while working with low income audiences.
  • Ability to communicate well both orally and in written form
  • Ability to travel throughout the state
  • Willing to work some evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to work with frequent interruptions and respond appropriately to unexpected situations
  • Capable of functioning independently and possessing a positive and helpful attitude
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge in the use of computers and various software packages
Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively with New Hampshire Food Bank staff to develop and implement a SNAP outreach plan
  • Work with Food Bank Leadership, Agency Relations staff and the State of New Hampshire SNAP Program, to analyze and identify populations and geographic areas where outreach is most needed
  • Assists potential SNAP applicants with the online NHEASY application
  • Provide updates to Food Bank Leadership and Agency Relations Managers on a regular basis
  • Maintain records and generate progress reports to Food Bank Director of Operations
  • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with company personnel, departments, management, and outside business/public relationships
  • Serve as an Advocate for NH Food Bank efforts and hunger relief as necessary
