The Family Support Specialist in the Healty Families American program focuses on understanding and supporting Parent/Child Interaction that promotes optimum social-emotional and physical development. While working in partnership with state agencies, medical providers and social service agencies to address families concrete needs to help promote family self-sufficiency. Family Support Specialist visits follow a protocol developed by Maternal and Child Health and the evidenced-based curriculum, Parents as Teachers. Reflective supervision is provided to support the work of the Specialist. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently collaborating with client and staff to coordinate services. Other skills needed are the ability to complete paperwork timely and effectively as well as having strong verbal and face to face communication skills. This is a full-time position based in Manchester, NH. BS or BA degree in Human Service related area and 1 to 2 years of home visiting experience desired. Additional infant/toddler development or parenting education preferred. Previous experience with Office 365 and Sharepoint strongly desired. Chosen candidates are required to submit to a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check and have auto insurance which must meet agency standards will be required.
