Capacity Bldg Specialist

Families First and Goodwin Community Health  have partnered together to become Greater Seacoast Community Health. Bringing greater opportunities in employment and health care. 

The Capacity Building Specialist (CBS) supports all operations and services of SOS Recovery Community Organization (RCO), an initiative of Goodwin Community Health. The CBS supports the work of the Manager of Programs and the SOS collective in working with key sectors of the community (education, business, government, health, public safety, community supports, etc.) to advance the strategic initiatives of the RCO. The CBS will need and develop a unique set of skills and abilities to be effective across a broad range of responsibilities that include supporting the development and support of a large volunteer network; Recovery Community Center development and operations; facilitating outreach and dispatching of volunteers; fundraising, public events, and administrative accountability including the reporting requirements for Federal, State and local grants & donors; and developing resources that advance the quality and coverage of Recovery-oriented services and capacity in Strafford County.


Bachelor degree or significant demonstrated experience with a minimum of 1-3 years in addiction field, social policy, social work, criminal justice, marketing and communications, public health, or related field.

· Certified Recovery Coach, or registered in RCC Academy.

· Working knowledge of a variety of addiction recovery modalities and ability to articulate the delivery of multiple pathways of recovery in a community based setting.

Job Type: Full-time


Must have or be able to obtain CRSW credential within 6 months of hire date.
