The Moore Center is seeking a Budget Tracking Systems and Prior Authorization Specialist to perform a multi-step data entry process ensuring the accurate and timely data management of the Area Agency’s multi-million dollar Medicaid revenue.  This individual will also assist in Prior Authorization (PA) generation, tracking and problem resolution, as well as individual budget review, revenue/data analysis and staff collaboration.

This is a benefits-eligible full-time position!

  • Associate’s  degree or equivalent in related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience
  • Working knowledge of Developmental Disability System desired
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems; strong knowledge of Excel
  • Knowledge of individualized client budgets, Medicaid system and billing preferred
  • Perform multi-step data entry into Budget Tracking System (BTS)
  • Assist in reviewing individualized budgets
  • Generate data reports using Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Work collaboratively with Client Benefits Services (CBS) Coordinator
  • Provide BTS information to management staff as appropriate
  • Track and report on unused units
  • Generate spreadsheets for BDS in collaboration with consultants
  • Learn Specialty Services Tracker and act as a back up to the Specialty Services Manager
  • Provide assistance with accurate and timely tracking of assigned/usage of SSL dollars
  • Assist CBS Manager in the development and submission of PAs, including but not limited to:filing, copying, mailing, printing, scanning as needed within PA process
  • Work with PA renewals and service agreements
  • Review Medicaid Management Information system (MMIS) monthly for approved PAs; enter into systems
  • Track and follow-up/reminders/problem solving for:
    •  certifications for PCS and PDMS
    •  terminated Medicaid
    • documents requested but not received for PA applications
