Program Coordinator

SHARE Outreach

SHARE Outreach is a well respected, community non-profit organization that provides emergency and ongoing support to individuals and families in need of basic necessities. SHARE provides food, clothing, and emergency financial assistance to area families in need who do not qualify for government assistance or for whom that assistance is insufficient or delayed in coming. SHARE also offers support to families and individuals looking to become more self reliant, including support for stable housing, employment, and education, as well as referrals and connections to other agencies.


The Program Coordinator is the face of SHARE, managing the reception area and triaging client needs for those who come to the SHARE Center for assistance. The ideal candidate has lots of energy and is happiest in a fast-paced environment where each day brings new challenges and there are always problems to be solved. The Program Coordinator will also assist the Executive Director and other staff with various administrative and data tasks. The ideal candidate is most comfortable in a team-centered, collaborative environment.

Requirements:
  • Kind, compassionate, and patient
  • A minimum of one year work or volunteer experience in human services or other helping profession.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Ability to work independently and in successful collaboration with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask in a face-paced environment
  • Ability to take initiative, seeing the “big picture” and managing small details
  • Strong interpersonal skills to successfully communicate with clients, community partners, donors, other staff, volunteers, and the general public
  • Familiarity with the needs of low-income populations is preferred
  • Experience with database entry and maintaining data integrity
  • Individual must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office suite; some knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
  • Some knowledge of donor software and case management software preferred
  • Valid driver's license required
Responsibilities:
  • Triage client needs; initiate client intake process
  • Make appropriate referrals to other community agencies and/or schedule appointments with SHARE care manager(s).
  • Address urgent client needs as directed by staff
  • Assist staff with client data and documentation
  • Assist with seasonal programs
  • Assist in management of Food Pantry and Clothing Barn as directed by the Executive Director
  • Participate in program evaluation process
  • Oversee office management including flow of clients throughout the day
  • Assist with administrative tasks as directed by staff including but not limited to client and donation data entry and reporting.
