Position Summary:  Level 6 –  Cypress Center Nurse provides direction and supervision by monitoring the structured environment of the acute care facility.  Position requires a Registered Nurse with valid NH Nursing License.  At least one year of work in the field of psychiatric/mental health services preferred, however, new grads will be considered.  Basic fundamental computer experience to process e-mail and client access required. Overnight hours only. Some flexibility. 

Duties and Responsibilities:  Provide nursing services for adult 24/7 locked residential 16 bed psychiatric unit.  Work with other nurses and counseling staff to provide crisis stabilization services in a milieu setting.  Administration of medications and working with outside pharmacies on medication ordering.  Facilitate admission processes and screen referrals for documentation of medical clearance.  Responsible for occasional charge nurse responsibilities, including staff direction and managing flow of admissions and discharges.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  We are looking for someone who has some experience working overnight shifts, and who is flexible with working weekends and occasional holidays.  Looking for someone who is passionate and motivated to learn, and who can make effective decisions quickly and in accordance to the overall guiding values and principles of MHCGM.  Past experience working with people with mental illnesses and addictions a plus.

Qualifications:  Registered Nurse (RN), either associates or bachelor’s level.
