Substance Use Disorder Clinician

Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc, one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a motivated and dynamic licensed or license eligible Clinician with experience in addiction treatment. You will have the opportunity to work with adults in our CHOICES program, one of Riverbend’s newest programs, providing Medication Assisted Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Programming. You will be part of a talented multi-disciplinary team focused on providing the highest quality of integrated care in the treatment of individuals with substance use disorders in our Concord office. 
As a Therapist within the program, you will provide therapeutic interventions that may include motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and crisis intervention.  This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of an energetic and growing team. 

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related Human Services field is required.
  • Active NH licensure as LCMHC, LICSW, or Psychologist preferred.
  • Active NH licensure as LADC or MLADC preferred, or willingness to pursue licensure is required.
  • Minimum of one years’ experience in substance abuse treatment in an outpatient setting preferred.
  • Experience with Intensive Outpatient Programming and medication assisted treatment preferred.
  • Some evening hours may be required.
  • A valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and auto insurance or access to a reasonable alternative required.
  • Provide therapeutic services in individual and group settings which is recovery-oriented and focuesd on adults with drug and/or alcohol addiction.
  • Provide education and support to family members in support of client’s treatment goals.
  • Prepare treatment plans and clinical paperwork associated with client’s care.
  • Monitor client abstinence through urine testing as needed.
