Program Assistant

Riverbend Community Mental Health

Core services include 24/7 emergency mobile crisis services; counseling services for children, adults, and families; addiction treatment; and community support, vocational services, and residential programs for adults and seniors. Riverbend Community Mental Health, Inc., one of the largest providers of community-based behavioral health services in New Hampshire, is seeking a part-time Program Assistant to work Monday through Friday, 3PM – 8PM in our counseling center, Riverbend Counseling Associates.
 
As a Program Assistant, you will be a member of an administrative team of support staff who work with clinical staff and clients in a variety of capacities. We’re looking for a team player with a warm and welcoming presence who has excellent computer skills, strong customer service, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The position offers a great diversity in duties and the ability to grow within the position and the overall organization.

Requirements:
  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two years’ experience in diversified office work is preferred.
  • Experience with health insurance billing procedures preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with attention to detail is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Respond appropriately and timely to incoming calls.
  • Assess client and family needs.
  • Provide administrative support to clinical staff.
  • Maintain medical records for clients of the programs.
  • Maintain current insurance and payment information for all clients in the program.
  • Collect payments from clients and address any past due balances, if applicable.
  • Schedule/reschedule appointments for staff and provide reminder calls to clients.
  • Processing of daily billing logs and bank deposits.
  • Provides administrative support to the Lead Program Assistant and Clinical Coordinator.
