Senior Adult Community Support Clinician

Summary Statement

The Senior Adult Community Support Clinician is part of the clinical leadership team that supports clinicians and promotes the departmental culture and treatment philosophy to ensure the provision of quality treatment services for each client.  This position will afford the opportunity to develop leadership skills, culture, and promote program planning and development.  This position is full-time salaried at 40 hours per week in Adult Services and is approximately 30% indirect team leadership and 70% clinical.


Qualifications and Skills

  • NH licensure as an LICSW or LCMHC strongly preferred;
  • MLADC preferred;
  • Master’s degree in mental health field;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with professionals and clients/families;
  • Unique population skillset desired: BPD, EMDR, IDD, SUD, Integrated Care, and or Veteran/Military;
  • Advanced documentation skills  and familiarity with data reports/spreadsheets;
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

 Physical Demands and Working Conditions 

  • Must have ability to sit at computer and use keyboard for data entry.
  • Must have ability to sit for 60-minute intervals while in sessions and/or meetings.
  • Must be able to flex schedule to accommodate needs of clients and staff.

Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties

  • Promotes and teaches development of clinical skills to use effective, creative treatment approaches that may or may not be formal EBPs;
  • Supports training new and existing clinicians in service delivery, documentation, EMR use and other relevant industry and agency requirements;
  • Supports the group clinical supervision of interns and/or clinicians;
  • Supports training as needed to help develop the skills of staff;
  • Supports and encourages philosophy of community support program:
    • Unconditional positive regard,
    • Client centered treatment,
    • Addressing clients’ clinical needs,
    • Integration of motivational interviewing, and
    • Integrating team interventions.
  • Provides a positive culture that fosters cooperation, teamwork, and growth to meet the needs of CLM clients, families and our greater community partners;
  • Assures that clinical documentation is completed accurately, on a timely basis and in compliance with appropriate CLM, federal, state and other pertinent standards;
  • Ensures that services provided comply with all federal and state regulatory standards and statutes.  Adheres to the Center’s Code of Ethics;
  • Maintains professional memberships, licenses, accreditation, certifications, etc;
  • Participation on appropriate committees may be requested, both internal and external, as determined by the program director;
  • Represents CLM in a professional and appropriate manner in the community;
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
