Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation Awards Nearly $2.5 Million to More than 900 Organizations in 2016

Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation today announced that it awarded nearly $2.5 million in grants to more than 900 nonprofit organizations in more than 300 communities in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire in 2016. Since its inception in 1980, the Foundation has granted more than $140 million in funds throughout the four states.

Veteran's Resort Chapel Receives $20,000 from Dealership

A check for $20,000 was presented Monday to the Veteran's Resort Chapel. Organizer Peter MacDonald said the money will allow the group to build three or four more tiny homes on the Lee property, which is dedicated to keeping combat vets from homelessness.

Jerry Madden, Friends Program Executive Director, Announces Retirement

Today, Jerry Madden, the Executive Director of the Friends Program, announced his retirement from the organization in April 2017. Madden has served as the Executive Director of the Friends Program since March 2007. Prior to that he worked for the Concord Police Department and spent his last 6 years on the force as the Chief of Police.
