Holy Cross Family Learning Center Presented with $3,000 Grant

St. Mary’s Bank recently presented a $3,000 grant to the Holy Cross Family Learning Center (HCFLC) in Manchester. The grant will be used to support English as a Second Language classes for the refugees and people of diverse cultures who gather to study English, begin their path to citizenship, and develop workforce skills through hands-on training.

Bank of America Makes ‘Critical Needs’ Grant to Families First

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation recently granted $17,500 to Families First Health & Support Center. Awarded under the foundation’s “Basic Needs” funding priority, the grant will be used toward salaries of care coordinators, insurance enrollment assisters, and medication assistance program staff at the community health center.

YMCA holds 129th Annual Meeting

Nearly 80 members of the community joined the YMCA of Greater Nashua for its 129th Annual Meeting on November 17 at the Courtyard by Marriott in Nashua. During the annual breakfast meeting, YMCA CEO Mike LaChance inducted John Callahan of Hollis into the Y’s Hall of Fame, an honor reserved for those who have dedicated their time and talent to fulfilling the mission of the YMCA.

World Affairs Council Names Two Board Members

The World Affairs Council of New Hampshire has announced the election of two new members to its Board of Directors: Gail Garceau, a Bedford resident and President of the HNH Foundation; and Dawn Wivell, CEO of Firebrand International, a resident of Portsmouth.
