AFP Northern New England Chapter

AFP -Northern New England Chapter of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is a professional association of fundraising professionals with more than 200 members. The chapter organizes an annual conference, which rotates among the three states (ME, NH, VT); presents networking events in each state; and offers professional development, educational, and networking opportunities to its members.

The mission of CONFR (Continuing Education in Fundraising) Helping nonprofits raise more money for a better New Hampshire.  CONFR helps New Hampshire nonprofits raise more money through educational programming that includes three day-long conferences, a workshop series, and other special programs.

 Corporate Fund

Founded in 1982, the Corporate Fund is comprised of many of the state's most generous corporations, which pool a portion of their charitable dollars to focus entirely on improving the overall management and effectiveness of New Hampshire's nonprofits.  The Corporate Fund has 4 core programs which work to strengthen nonprofit management including: Grant Program, Walter J. Dunfey Award for Excellence in Management, Board Self-Assessment Kit and the Consultant Resource Bank.

Executive Service Corps Northern New England

Executive Service Corps Northern New England (ESCNE) provides assistance in all areas of nonprofit management consulting on a variety of issues ranging from board development to strategic planning. ESC offers affordable management consulting services to nonprofits in northern New England provided by volunteer consultants with proven, reality-based, problem-solving skills who are dedicated to helping nonprofits address their most critical management issues.

 Giving Monadnock

Giving Monadnock's mission is to promote, stimulate, and inspire philanthropy by increasing public commitment to the success of local non-profit organizations. Giving Monadnock accomplishes its mission by focusing on three basic strategies:  Training nonprofit organizations to be more effective at fundraising; Raising public awareness of the vital roles performed by nonprofit organizations and the related importance and rewards of charitable giving;  and Serving the nonprofit community through capacity building, education, information, special events and other programs.

 Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Nonprofit Support Program

Hartford Foundation is a nonprofit capacity building program, based at a community foundation, that serves small to mid-sized nonprofits in our region. They provide a range of offerings including assistance with planning, governance, financial management, technology, evaluation, as well as learning opportunities for nonprofit leaders. One area they have not actively pursued is human resources management. Their primary audience is the smaller nonprofit in which there is a dedicated HR staffer.  Institute for Nonprofit Management at Antioch New England

The Institute for Nonprofit Management, developed by the Department of Organization & Management at Antioch, is a comprehensive curriculum of seminars for nonprofit executives. The program provides information in areas such as human resources, fundraising, board development, marketing, business planning, and team building. It is offered annually at varied locations around the state of New Hampshire.

 Nonprofit Good Practice Guide ( HR Resource)

This web site aids in staff development and organizational capacity for HR resources for nonprofit organizations. Check out the profiled web sites for some good resources around HR issues.
