Masterful Nonprofit Leadership Stories – Spring/Fall 2008 A monthly luncheon series for Advanced Nonprofit Leaders and Board Members This series will be held at a central location and involve three components: an expert presenter, resource sharing, and peer networking. The series includes guest speakers such as business leaders who have successfully chaired nonprofit boards, a board member who successfully chaired a capital campaign, and an executive team that successfully developed a quality transition process. A facilitator will frame the stories with best practices. Sponsorship: $3,000 as single sponsors or $1,500 as a co-sponsor. |
The 2008 Report on Nonprofit Wages & Benefits – Summer 2008 The only wage & benefit survey in New Hampshire specific to nonprofits. New IRS regulations will require nonprofit Boards to document their decision-making behind executive compensation levels. This report will provide the required comparison data, and we anticipate a high demand for this publication by Board members of New Hampshire nonprofits. Sponsorship $500. |
Spring Conference: Marketing and Engaging the Media June 10, 2008
This year’s theme for our Spring technical conference day is marketing & media: how to brand your nonprofit, position or re-position your organization, how to use your website to reach the right audience, how to work with the media to get your message out, re-framing your “ask”, and communication with business partners. Risk Management & Finance Essentials for Nonprofit Leaders June 26 & 27, 2008 This is the 3rd annual conference co-hosted by NHCN, Maine Assoc. of Nonprofits, and the Nonprofit Risk Management Center. Designed for nonprofit CEOs, CFOs, board members, department heads and professional advisors serving nonprofit organizations, this year’s topics include fraud and how to avoid it happening, employment risks, the new 990, risk management policies and more. The Nonprofit Leadership Summit - September 2008
Plans are now underway to deliver another successful Summit for the sector. Audience is 300–400 board and nonprofit leaders. The Summit involves a national keynote presenter on a critical issue the sector is facing followed by case studies and themed discussions on the issue. It was an outstanding success in 2007, and we plan to double the effort for 2008. Lead sponsorship $10,000; co-sponsors $3,000. |
Institute for Advanced Nonprofit Leadership – Fall 2008
This three-part Institute is focused on board and executive team building around the topics of development, recruitment and retention, strategic positioning, and more sophisticated fund development strategies. The seminar is based on research and materials from BoardSource and is taught by two of New Hampshire’s finest facilitators and nonprofit experts: Jamie Batson and Cotton Cleveland. The Fall 2008 Institute will focus on advanced fund development strategies. The Institute involves three half-day seminars running from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by the Masterful Nonprofit Leadership Stories (see above). Sponsorship is $3,000 or shared co-sponsorship. |
The NH Grant and Fund Development Institute – Winter 2009 Through a partnership with CONFR, we plan to launch a series for mid-sized nonprofits on how to develop sound overall funding plans, how to improve their approach to grant development and develop more strategic and collaborative grant proposals. This three-part seminar will be offered in Winter 2009. Sponsorship: $2,000. |
