New Hampshire Humorist to Address Governor's Conference on Volunteerism

Volunteer NH! and NH Governor John H. Lynch invite you to attend the Annual Governor’s Conference on Volunteerism, May 13, 2008 at the NH Technical Institute. The deadline for registering is May 2nd. Those who register by April 18 will save on the registration fee.

This year's conference theme is "time, talent and energy". These are the gifts that hundreds of New Hampshire organizations contribute each day to make our state a better place to live, work and play. Each volunteer organization has stories to tell about their champion volunteers. As the conference keynote speaker, Rebecca Rule will share the art of storytelling from her own rich repertoire of stories she has collected.

The conference also features an exchange of best practices, professional development training and inspiring new ideas from New England's leading practitioners. Over 30 dynamic workshops will be offered for all levels of volunteer management.  The award recipient for the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Volunteer Management will be announced by Governor Lynch.  Nominations for this award may submitted until deadline April 30th.

An added feature to this 25th annual conference is a partnership with the StarMight Foundation. The 2nd Annual Youth Conference will run concurrently. Keynote speaker for the youth will be Divine Bradley, executive director of Team Revolution, a non-profit organization he founded at the age of 17.

Brochure, registration information and award nomination form can be found at http://www.volunteernh.org/html/event_20.htm .  For assistance call 1-800-780-8058.
