 The Changing Role of Leadership with John Hoffman

John E. Hoffman, Jr.The 2010 Summit will kick off with what promises to be a fascinating conversation with one of New Hampshire’s most respected nonprofit leaders, John E. Hoffman, Jr.

New Hampshire Public Radio personality Virginia Prescott will interview John about his journey from his days as an international corporate attorney leading our nation’s efforts to negotiate the release of the Iranian hostages in 1981, to his current vocation working with many New Hampshire nonprofits as a catalyst for collaboration and change. John will reflect on how his views on the art of leadership have evolved over his career.

“John is one of those remarkable, humble leaders who have a real knack for reading the environment and a willingness to adapt his style to meet the current environment. We are delighted to have Virginia and John opening for the Summit,” states Mary Ellen Jackson, Center director.

Following John’s opening interview, four national keynotes will present break-out sessions on the strategies of communications, strategic collaboration, mission measurement and new models in nonprofit finance.

At the Summit luncheon, the Corporate Fund will present its awards for Excellence in Nonprofit Management in honor of the late Walter J. Dunfey.

The Summit will conclude with regional leadership discussions and a reflection on the challenges facing the sector by Nonprofit Board Leader and businesswoman, M. Christine Dwyer of RMC Research who serves as a city councilor for the city of Portsmouth NH.
