Science Center Welcomes New Facilities Director

Holderness, NH  - The Squam Lakes Natural Science Center is pleased to welcome Tim Curry as its new Facilities Director.

As Facilities Director, Curry will be responsible for the creation and installation of new exhibits, maintenance and upkeep of existing exhibits and trails, all land management of the 200 acre Science Center campus, and oversight of all building systems and facilities.

Curry was formerly the Housing Production Manager for CATCH Neighborhood Housing, a non-profit organization in Concord. In that role he was responsible for supervision of all contractors and work performed on CATCH projects including new construction, rehab projects, and landscaping. He has also been a self-employed contractor since 1995 specializing in green homes and post and beam construction. Tim is also a licensed Home Inspector, including LEED certified, and a career level fire fighter and EMT.

“I am delighted to bring Tim to the Science Center,” said Iain MacLeod, Executive Director. “Tim brings a wealth of experience and knowledge that will be invaluable in the day-to-day oversight of the Center and as we implement our long range plans,” added MacLeod.

Curry has a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Maine, Orono and is a 2007 graduate of the Leadership Concord program.

“I am excited by the new challenges and opportunities the position will bring,” said Curry. “Having visited the Science Center many times with my kids, I look forward to helping guide this unique place that is special to so many visitors.”
