 Serenity Place Names New Controller

Serenity Place, Manchester’s addiction crisis and education center, has hired Natasha Dube as Controller, assuming responsibility for all areas of finance and human resources at the nonprofit.  Ms. Dube most recently held the position of staff accountant at the nonprofit New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority where she was responsible for finances, Human Resources and facilities management. She has also been on staff as Business Manager with New Hampshire Healthy Kids and at the law firms of Devine Millimet & Branch in Manchester and Hanify King in Boston in accounting and finance.

Born and raised in New Hampshire, Ms. Dube is excited about the move to the Controller position at Serenity Place. “I see this as an opportunity to expand my skill set and am looking forward to working in an agency that does community based social services work. The need is so great in our state and Serenity Place has seen a rebirth in the recent past that positions it as one of the premier sites for recovery services in New Hampshire” she said.

Serenity Place has been under the Executive Direction of Sharon Drake since November 2008, since which time it has undergone positive change in its efficacy and ability to serve clients suffering from addiction.  The organization has just approved a new Strategic Plan, which includes improved provision of services to both clients and staff.  Ms. Drake cites the upgrade of the Senior Accountant position, previously held by Richard Keller, to Controller as reflective of the agency’s progress. “Rick brought expertise in every aspect of operating a business to this position and included the HR functions as a natural tangent of the financial piece.  Natasha has experience supervising many aspects of both for-profit and nonprofit operations and is a perfect fit for our emerging needs and our culture.”
