Donors, board members, volunteers, fundraising professionals, and the organizations they advance need the tools of fundraising to succeed in their work and accomplish the missions of the non-profits they serve. The 2009 AFP-NNE Conference will be held at the Hilton Waterfront Hotel in Burlington, Vermont, and the theme will help both new and experienced fundraisers connect to the basics of fundraising -- inspiring donors to support the mission of their organization. With the recent downturn in the economy, our organizations’ missions are more important than ever, and this conference will help fundraising professionals focus on the bottom line, connect with their donors and their philanthropic motivations, and fundraise effectively using best practices.
AFP NNE is seeking proposals from presenters that address the theme of Essential Tools: Constructing the Future of Philanthropy. Proposals should demonstrate approaches that help fundraising professionals understand donors and their philanthropic motivations, share successful tools to implement new knowledge and best practices, enhance community involvement; and bring together people with diverse perspectives to discuss key issues and opportunities in philanthropy.
If you are interested in presenting at the 2009 Conference on Philanthropy, you are encouraged to submit an application. If you have any speakers whom you would like to hear at the 2009 Conference, please send those suggestions as well. The deadline for submission is Friday, February 27, 2009.
