The Board of Trustees for the NH Children's Trust Fund has announced their new members for 2010.
Janice Fitzpatrick, Candia. Janice has served as the VP and CFO of the NH Electric Cooperative, worked for 10 years in the banking industry, and holds a Masters in Accounting from Southern NH University where she received the Alumni Distinguished Service Award in 2000 for her leadership, dedication and loyal service to the college. Representative Raymond Gagnon, Claremont. Representative Gagnon is a second term representative from Sullivan County District 4. A New Hampshire native, he and his wife, Phyllis, have one child. He is the owner of G2M Communications. He is a graduate of St. Mary High School in Claremont, holds a bachelor's degree from St. Francis College in Biddeford, Maine, and a master's degree from Southern New Hampshire University in Manchester. Representative Gagnon spent 30 years involved in federal, state, county and local government systems. In addition to holding elected office as a mayor of Claremont and member of the Claremont City Council, Representative Gagnon has served on various municipal boards and committees. He was elected chair of the Sullivan County Delegation in December 2008 and previously served as vice chair of the Sullivan County Delegation from 2007 to 2008. He is a board member for Southwestern Community Services and for the Claremont Soup Kitchen. He was appointed by President Bill Clinton to serve as U.S. Marshal for the District of New Hampshire and served from 1994 to 2002. He is a member of the New Hampshire Canada Trade Council. He chaired the 2008 New Hampshire Commission on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury.
Robert MacGowan, Webster. Bob MacGowan has spent over twenty-five years in different sales and marketing positions in the insurance field and his experiences have ranged from being an owner of his own New Hampshire insurance agency to working for one of the largest independent global brokers at Lloyd's of London. Bob also taught for a year at one of New Hampshire's public high schools and is well aware of the impact family stability has on the development of children. As a past president of the Newport New Hampshire Rotary Club Bob understands the civic responsibility we all share in working to make our communities better places and has seen firsthand the impact that the generosity of strangers can have on the lives of those who need our help.
Bob attended Saint Anselm College in Goffstown, New Hampshire where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, with an accompanying Certificate in Soviet Studies. He went on to secure an Master of Education degree from the Lynch School of Education at Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Lauren Noether, Tilton. Lauren Noether has served for 21 years as a prosecutor in New Hampshire, having graduated from Franklin Pierce Law Center in 1982. As the Belknap County Attorney for nearly 14 years, her job involved advising police departments on criminal law and policy, running grand jury investigations, presenting felony cases for trial before juries and partnering with other agencies around community safety. Ms. Noether joined the office of the Attorney General in September 2006 and was appointed Chief of the Consumer Protection and Antitrust Bureau in January 2007, where she served until February, 2009. She now works as a Senior Assistant Attorney General in the Environmental Protection Bureau. Lauren is the 2007 recipient of the William D. Paine Award for outstanding commitment to the collaborative multidisciplinary efforts to reduce family violence in NH. |
