New ED Will Focus Renewed Energy on The Upper Room's Mission to Serve Families

Derry—The Board of Directors of The Upper Room is pleased to announce Brenda Guggisberg, who has served as the interim Executive Director for the past several months, has been appointed as the organization’s Executive Director. Ms. Guggisberg will be only the third Executive Director to serve at the Upper Room during its 30 year history, and her fifteen year tenure with the organization makes her an ideal candidate to lead us into the future.

The appointment of Ms. Guggisberg was announced at The Upper Room’s 30th Anniversary Celebration held on August 10, 2016. Board Chair Jacob Wiesmann stated; “We are excited that we were able to find such a well qualified candidate to serve as our Executive Director who is familiar with our mission, vision and commitment to supporting the needs of the community.” Ms. Guggisberg has spent over 19 years in
various leadership roles in the public service and education sector, including 15 years as a senior staff member here at The Upper Room.

Together with our strong staff, the Board is unequivocally confident Ms. Guggisberg will continue the work that has shaped The Upper Room into the premier family resource center in southern New Hampshire.
