Senator Gregg Announces $711,365 For Manchester Community Health Center |
Manchester, NH - Senator Judd Gregg (R-NH) today announced that the Manchester Community Health Center (MCHC) will receive $711,365 in federal grant funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Community Health Centers serve patients in medically underserved areas and provide preventative care, as well as help treat those who are sick, regardless of a patient’s ability to pay. These funds will help Manchester continue to make available these critical services to individuals and families without health insurance in the Manchester area.
Senator Gregg stated, “Quality, affordable health care is vital for every family in New Hampshire, especially for individuals and families who might not otherwise have access to the care they need when they need it. These funds will go a long way in helping the Manchester CHC take care of area-residents who lack the necessary health insurance to see a doctor, or other health care professional, to treat their illnesses or get essential preventative care. I applaud Manchester’s CHC for making these much needed health care services a priority for families in the Granite State.”
Ed George, President and CEO of Manchester Community Health Center stated, “MCHC is once again pleased to be the recipient of such a major grant as this. It allows us to continue offering much-needed primary health care services to thousands of uninsured and underinsured people who have come to regard us as their medical home. We, and they, are grateful for this grant and for Senator Gregg’s continued support.” |
