MVSB employees raise more than $86,000 for Lakes Region United Way |
Contribution represents an “unsurpassed” $400 per staff member
For the fifth year in a row, the employees at Meredith Village Savings Bank have raised a record amount for the Lakes Region United Way. With an extraordinary 88 percent of employees participating, the community-minded team raised $43,058. The bank challenged staff members with a dollar for dollar match, creating a total gift of $86,116 for 2007.
“The employees at Meredith Village Savings Bank have done it again,” said Jack Terrill, president of Lakes Region United Way. “Their commitment to the work we are doing to help children, families and communities in the Lakes Region is a testament to the culture of giving and community involvement that has long been a part of the fabric at MVSB. With the bank’s 100 percent match, the bank’s gift to this year’s campaign amounts to an average contribution of $400 per employee, which is unsurpassed. We are so grateful for their support.”
Bill Beyer, MVSB President and CEO, credited staff members throughout the bank for their record participation in the campaign.
“We are fortunate to have an extraordinary group of employees who are genuinely interested in serving and giving to the communities they live and work in,” said Beyer, who also recognized internal campaign chairs Tara Mudgett and Lori Groleau for their efforts in making this year’s United Way drive a success.
“Tara and Lori gave an extraordinary amount of time and energy to create excitement and keep momentum going throughout the drive, as well as taking care of all of the operational details to ensure that everything went smoothly and efficiently.”
