The Union Leader announced the eighth class of "40 Under Forty" - the honors program that recognizes the state's emerging leaders. Among the nonprofit leaders mentioned were:
- Amada K. Grady, 29, director of public policy for the N.H. Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence
- Chris Thayer, 38, director of White Mountain facilities for the Appalachian Mountain Club
- Tara Payne, 35, vice president of corporate communications and marketing for the NH Higher Education Assistance Foundation
- Sara Zoe Patterson for her work with Seacoast Eat Local
- Joel Harrington, 34, director of government relations for the Nature Conservancy of NH
- Brett M. Durham, 36, director of recreation for Squam Lakes Association
- Jenne Walker, 30, program manager for Squam Lakes Association
- Kristen Kraunelis, 37, director of quality improvement for the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester
- Sarah Chaisson Warner, 29, editor in chief of Athena Magazine for Girls
- Jeanine Tousignant, 35, vice president for advancement at the Manchester Community Music School
