Concord - The New Hampshire Center for Nonprofits is pleased to announce Ellen Garrity of Concord has been hired as the Program Coordinator.
Garrity is charged with the planning and coordination of a yearly slate of more than 50 workshops, seminars and conference events designed to support nonprofit board and executive leaders in business, governance and management skill development. Each year more than 1,800 nonprofit leaders register for programs offered by the Center both regionally and statewide.
“We are excited to welcome Ellen to the position. Her experiences as a former nonprofit executive director along with her communication talents will lend well to the Center’s overall mission,” noted Mary Ellen Jackson, Executive Director of The Center.
Prior to joining the Center, Garrity served as Executive Director for the Seacoast Family Food Pantry which addresses basic needs of families in the seacoast and, prior to this leadership role, she was staff for Fidelity Charitable Gift Fund in Boston and the UNH Foundation.
“In my previous professional experiences, I relied on the Center for relevant, well-balanced educational forums. I look forward to the opportunity to serve the New Hampshire nonprofit sector through this new role,” noted Garrity.
Summer programs being planned by Garrity include a July 29 Conference on Collaboration and Sustainability and the September 18 Nonprofit Leadership Summit, both scheduled to occur at the Grappone Center in Concord.
The NH Center for Nonprofits is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit statewide organization committed to supporting the development and success of all nonprofit organizations through education, training, and resources and working to raise the visibility of the nonprofit community through advocacy. All proceeds derived from services offered are used to support the continued programming throughout the state.
