 Foundation Welcomes New Board Member

Concord, NH - The Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation has appointed Richard M. Heath of Bow, New Hampshire, to its Board of Directors.

Richard HeathMr. Heath recently served as Deputy Director of the Capital Regional Development Council, overseeing operational matters related to the successful achievement of performance goals.  Prior to that position, he served as Vice President of New Hampshire Operations for UNITIL Service Corporation based in New Hampshire.  In that role he managed two state utility distribution operations centers, ensuring reliable and safe electric energy service to approximately 65,000 customers. Prior to joining UNITIL, Mr. Heath worked for several years at the Concord Electric Company, an electric utility distribution company servicing 27,000 customers at the time.   Mr. Heath served as Vice President and General Manager of the company. 

Mr. Heath is on the Board of Trustees of the Community College System.   In addition, he has a long history of community involvement, serving on the town of Exeter Sewer Commission, Budget Committee (Chairman), and as a Selectman.  He is an active member on the Greater Concord Area Chamber of Commerce (Chairman 2003-2004), Rotary Club of Concord (Past President), and New Hampshire Fire Marshall’s Office. He was First Vice President from 2003-2004 on the Capital Region Development Council and an incorporator of the Capital Center for the Arts.  In addition, he serves on the town of Bow Business Development Commission and Economic Development Corporation.   Mr. Heath is a resident of Bow, New Hampshire.

The Community College System of NH is a public system of higher education consisting of seven independent colleges across the State: Great Bay Community College at Stratham, Lakes Region Community College at Laconia, Manchester Community College, Nashua Community College, NHTI, Concord’s Community College, River Valley Community College, White Mountains Community College at Berlin.  CCSNH serves over 24,000 learners annually in over 80 associate and degree programs.

 

The Community Colleges of New Hampshire Foundation was incorporated in February 2000 as a 501(c)(3) corporation. The Foundation is overseen by a Board of Directors. The Foundation’s mission is to support the Community College System of New Hampshire and make higher education more accessible.
