 NH Small Business Development Center and PlusTime NH receive "Good Citizen" Award
Manchester, NH. – Citizens Bank recognized Mary Collins, state director of the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center, and Cynthia Billings, executive director of PlusTime NH, with “Good Citizens” Awards at the bank’s 14th annual community partners celebration held Tuesday at the Capitol Center for the Arts in Concord. The bank presents its “Good Citizens” Award to individuals and organizations for their leadership, vision and outstanding commitment to the state of New Hampshire.

 St. Mary’s Bank Grants $2,500 to Liberty House for Homeless Veterans
Manchester, NH - St. Mary’s Bank today announced it gave $2,500 to Liberty House Inc., a transitional home for veterans in Manchester, to renovate the facility’s kitchen. With the ability to house up to ten homeless veterans, Liberty House is a non-profit organization offering transitional housing, medical care and job assistance for vets in New Hampshire.

 Become an Americorps Host Site
The Community Resource Corps (CRC) is an AmeriCorps program placing individual AmeriCorps Members with host sites throughout Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.  AmeriCorps Members work with local non-profits, municipalities and schools to help them mobilize volunteers to help them accomplish their organizations’ mission and objectives.  This year we have various focus areas such as Education, Mentoring, Volunteer Management, and Economic Development.

The CRC is looking to place AmeriCorps Members anywhere in ME, NH, and VT. We are currently accepting applications from organizations that are interested in being a host site between Fall 2010 and Fall 2011

 Two of the State's Prominent Political Education Organizations are Joining Forces
The board of the New Hampshire Political Library voted unanimously Friday to approve a merger with the New Hampshire Institute of Politics at St. Anselm College. The library will move to the college's campus in Manchester and will come under the auspices of Neil Levesque, executive director of the institute.
