 Bank of America Builds on History of Support with New Grant to Families First
Portsmouth – The Bank of America Charitable Foundation has provided a $15,000 grant to help Families First Health and Support Center provide medical and dental care for low-income, uninsured patients.
This is the sixth grant Bank of America has made to subsidize care for the uninsured at the Seacoast’s community health center, which provided primary care to more than 4,300 men, women and children in 2010.

 Leadership New Hampshire Announces Class of 2012
Leadership New Hampshire (LNH), a premier program whose mission is to “build a community of informed and engaged leaders,” announces its Class of 2012. The new cohort of 39 Associates includes men and women from across New Hampshire who will participate in an intensive 10-month program. These individuals were selected through a highly competitive process and will begin their unique educational journey this fall with an opening retreat.

 St. Mary’s Bank Gives $2,000 to Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua
Manchester — St. Mary’s Bank announced it recently donated $2,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Nashua to help establish new educational initiatives for disadvantaged youth. Using a strategy called High Yield Learning Activities (HYLA), these programs reinforce literacy and help children use and expand classroom knowledge in fun and interesting ways, without stigma or pressure.

 The North Face Explore Fund Awards Grant to Kismet Rock Foundation
North Conway – The North Face has awarded a $2,400 grant to Kismet Rock Foundation to help children and families explore the outdoors. Kismet Rock Foundation enhances the physical, intellectual and emotional development of well-functioning but economically disadvantaged children by providing access to the immense value of a comprehensive and multi-dimensional education in technical rock climbing. Kismet Rock Foundation was selected from hundreds of applications because of its focus on providing technical rock climbing instructions to economically under-served youth. In the first of two grant cycles in 2011, The North Face awarded $125,000 Explore Fund grants to 52 projects helping more than 30,000 kids to connect to nature.

 Support Increases for Museum InReach program at Children’s Museum of New Hampshire
Dover – Lincoln Financial Foundation is providing increased support for the Museum InReach program at the Children’s Museum of New Hampshire. The foundation’s recent $8,000 education grant will enable students from underserved elementary schools throughout the state to visit the Children’s Museum at no cost during the 2011—2012 school year. Lincoln Foundation was a founding sponsor of this program in 2008, and the upgrade in their support this year will increase the number of students who will be served through Museum InReach.

 The Music Hall Announces Board Changes
Portsmouth - At their annual retreat The Music Hall Board of Trustees gathered to welcome new board members, elect officers of the Executive Committee for 2011-2012 and thank outgoing board members. 
David Hills, a partner at Veris Wealth Partners, was elected President. Josephine Lamprey was elected Vice President. Harry Schult remains Treasurer. Barbara Henry was elected Secretary.  Danny O’Brien will continue as an ‘At Large’ member of the Executive Committee; and Gail VanHoy Carolan of Seascape Capital Management was elected a new ‘At Large’ member.
