Outgoing Board Members Recognized for Contributions
Concord, NH - The NH Center for Nonprofits recognized the outstanding contributions of outgoing board members, M. Christine Dwyer of RMC Research and Ellen Koenig of the NH Charitable Foundation at its June annual meeting. The Center also approved the slate of officers for next year which includes Michael Ostrowski of Child and Family Services as Chair, John Bunker of New Futures as Vice Chair, Jane Difley of the Society for the Protection of NH Forest as Treasurer and Stephen Norton of NH Center for Public Policy Studies as Secretary.

Rite Aid Foundation Pitches in to Provide Health Care for Uninsured
Portsmouth, NH – The Rite Aid Foundation recently awarded $5,000 to Families First Health and Support Center to contribute to the cost of providing health care for patients who lack health insurance. Families First, the Seacoast’s community health center, offers a discount to uninsured patients based on their income. Some patients pay as little as $10 per visit.

St. Mary’s Donates $2,500 to New Hampshire Association for the Blind
Manchester, NH - St. Mary’s Bank announced they recently gave $2,500 to the New Hampshire Association for the Blind to support the organization’s Technology Center client services program. Through newly developed assistive technology, this program gives school-age, working-age and newly retired blind people the ability to access information and communicate on par with fully sighted family, friends and colleagues.

New Hampshire Charitable Foundation Welcomes New Board Members
At their 47th annual meeting, The Charitable Foundation will welcome three new members of the Board of Directors and acknowledge two have completed their terms. Nominated to four-year terms on the Board are: Richard Couch of Hanover, CEO of Hypertherm, the world leader in plasma arc metal cutting technology; Catherine McDowell of Randolph, the executive director of the Family Resource Center at Gorham, a community and family support nonprofit serving Coos County; and Anu Mullikin of Auburn, a shareholder with Devine Millimet who currently serves as Chair of the Manchester Region Advisory Board.
